Review of Woodpecker’s Finger Pull Router Bits
After my review of their Juice Groove Bit, Woodpecker’s sent me this set of three Finger Pull bits for free so I could review them for you. They come in three sizes for boards up to 3/4”, 1” and 1-1/8” thick. These bits are bearing guided so you cut the finger grooves with the part flat on the router table (You can also use them in a handheld router).
The big advantage to this setup is being able to mill the pulls in curved edges. Your boards and trays can be of almost any design. The bearing does limit the depth of the finger groove, but that would only really be an issue with heavy cutting boards. With the popularity of serving trays and cutting boards, these will get plenty of use in your shop.
