Episodes 7-8: Butterfly Leaf Dining Table

Woodcademy_Mission-Table

In Episodes 7 and 8, we build a mission-style dining table with a special hideaway butterfly leaf. Episode 7 focuses on designing the table, building the table base and creating a full-scale working mock-up of the leaf assembly to prove the concept. Ralph walks viewers through the design process using Sketchlist 3D, including the design for the ingenious butterfly leaf that folds and stows away inside the table so that you don’t have to store it elsewhere.

In Episode 8, now streaming on Amazon Prime, we complete the build with the table top slide assemblies, leaf mechanism, assembly and finish for the completed table.

"When watching a new show of this nature I often need to make allowances because the production often isn't great and you just know things will improve. In the case of Woodcademy, no such allowances are necessary, it is that well done.

I especially liked the "Pro-Tips" hints on improving work. Looking forward to a lot more!"
